Washington Plant Facility
Denver - Washington Street - Ready Mixed Plant #1
Erected new on this 6-acre site in 1973 to service the Denver Metro area. The
plant has produced over 3 million cubic yards of concrete and it's Denver's
first computerized wet batch production facility. The plant and all of its
systems was completely reconstructed and updated in the spring of 2001.
- Plant Rex Model S controlled by Alkon Spectrum - VI computer batch system.
- Plant configuration is a high profile wet batch system with 10 cubic yard
scales and a 12 cubic yard rear loading shrink drum. It is winterized with
hot water capability.
- Plant is computer charged by two Rockford Robotics material handling
sequencers. Drive over climate controlled storage consists of 1250 tons.
- The plant has an array of broad production capabilities, which consists of
five overhead aggregate bins, ten ground storage bunkers, six cement silos,
and nine air accumulator admix dispensers. It is also equipped with a Davis
computerized liquid color system. All materials are measured by computerized
load cell tolerances (+ or - 1%) and are pre-shrunk in central mixer prior
to discharge in delivery unit.
- Sustained production capability consists of 300 cubic yards per hour.
- Plant, Trucks, Raw Materials, and Batchmen all exceed the highest
standards in our industry as defined by CDOT, ACI, and NRMCA.
- The Corporate Office, Customer Service, Technical Laboratory, and Main
Repair Shops are also located at this location.
